Our sessions are flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of each group. They can be either online or in-person, and may be seated, standing, or a mix of both, allowing participants to move at their comfort level. We offer flexible schedules and one-time workshops, depending on the preferences of the senior care facility. Each class is typically 40 minutes long, but session lengths can be adjusted as needed.
Session
Each session begins with a gentle warm-up, followed by a series of dances, and ends with a cool-down. The variety of dance styles ensures a well-rounded experience, engaging different muscle groups and providing a range of paces throughout the class. This structured yet diverse approach encourages full-body movement while maintaining the entertaining class atmosphere.
Overview
At DHP, our classes are rooted in dance-movement therapy, nurturing the natural connection between movement and music to enhance both physical and mental well-being. Our instructors create an engaging, joyful environment by incorporating a variety of dance styles and music in each session. Movements are thoughtfully designed to build strength, improve mobility, and stimulate memory, making each class not only fun but also beneficial. At DHP, there’s no “wrong” way to dance. Participants are encouraged to follow their own body, mind, and heart as they explore a relationship with dance that brings them happiness and fulfillment. Each routine is approved by experienced physiotherapists, ensuring that the movements are safe and supportive for seniors.

Our routines encompass an entire range of styles using familiar songs to ensure an entertaining and joyful experience. Here are just a few examples of the dance styles we use!
